At Wild Florida Photography, it is our goal to teach
you how to photograph nature beautifully while you
have fun learning!
Taking yourself to the next level and getting
beyond “average nature photography” requires
learning and understanding your subject. To get the
“great image”, knowing your subject will be as
important as any technical skill a photographer can
posses.
At Wild Florida Photography we are qualified to
teach you about your subject as well as the
technically skills needed to photograph it
beautifully.
We feel strongly, that when you return home,
regardless of your level of experience, you will
take with you, new skills, new images and the
confidence to make great images time and time again.
For this reason, we have selected the most
qualified instructors.
Teaching and touring at the best sites, at the
optimum time of year for our nature photography
workshops, classes and tours.
As naturalists, photographers, and Floridians, we
want to help you successfully and beautifully
photograph the many species and ecosystems of our
beautiful state.

|
Frequently Asked Questions |
| |
What level of experience do I need?
Everyone will find our nature photography
workshops and tours to be a great learning
experience.
The experience of our participants vary from
beginners to advanced amateur to the pro who just
wants to learn their way around. We only require
that you know the basic operation of you equipment
and suggest you know how to operate the advanced
features as well. Bring your instruction book just
to be safe!
[TOP]
Does weather alter workshop /
tour plans?
We do watch the weather, and based on the most
current reports we make minor adjustments to
maximize our effectiveness and time in the field.
[TOP]
How should I dress?
Wear casual cloths you don’t mind getting dirty or
wet.
Even in Florida it can get cool in the winter, so
a light jacket might be handy.I prefer long pants, a
good hat, sunscreen and bring mosquito repellent of
your choice. (Mosquitoes are rarely a problem in the
areas we work in) Have a towel in the car and a
large garbage bag in your camera bag or vest.
[TOP]
What about
transportation?
All participants are responsible for their own
transportation to and during the workshop/tour. If
we can help with rental car arrangements or work out
car-pooling with the other participants, we will be
happy to.
[TOP]
How does a typical day look?
On most days we are out before sunrise, taking a
continental style breakfast with us, to make sure we
take advantage of the sweet morning light. On sunny
days we will shoot until mid-morning, breaking for
lunch, naps, etc. We will meet again mid afternoon
and shoot until after dark. On overcast days, we
will shoot even when the sun is high in the sky.
[TOP]
Meals?
All meals are the workshop/tour participant’s
reasonability.
Breakfast is usually a continental on the run,
some like to go to a restaurant for lunch, others
may want to picnic, I all ways have a large cooler
with ice and water, and room for pick nick lunches.
The evening meal is up to you, but it is a great
time to get together and discuss what was covered
during the workday.

What is a Florida Freshwater
Wetlands Master Naturalist (FFWMN)?
A FFWMN is a person who has successfully completed
the FFWMN program presented by the University of
Florida. One of the programs' objectives is to
increase ones knowledge of freshwater wetland
systems. The other object is to teach each FFWMN how
to share their knowledge with others. The overall
goal of the program is to assist others to develop a
greater appreciation and respect for the land, and
all creatures within it.

Why is our photography
workshop tuition so low compared to others?
|
1. |
We live in
Florida, so our travel costs are lower. |
| 2. |
We stay at home, humble
motels, or camp in the field. |
| 3. |
Our meal costs are low, as
we enjoy picnicking. |
|
4. |
We love what we are doing. |
[TOP]
How do I register for a
photography workshop, and how do deposits and
payments work?
Registrations are accepted on a first-come,
first-served basis. Please email for space
availability and registration
[TOP]
What is your refund policy?
If you cancel 60 or more days prior to the event
we will refund your tuition less a $50 handling
charge. If you cancel between 60 days and 30 days
your tuition will be refunded only if we fill your
slot. There is no refund for cancellations less than
